The future of Lefty Flip...

Before I batten down the hatches for a long overdue weekend of epic writing, I have some big news.

After 7 months (yes, you heard right) I am finally getting back on line at home! How I have survived this long I do not know.
So hopefully I'll be able to post here more often, and, you know, actually take the time to write a decent post...

This weekend marked this blog’s first birthday! Hurrah!

Have cake.

Due to an accidental spike in popularity I have now passed 3000 hits! Hurrah again!

Which prompted me to have a look through the rest of my stats…

Naturally.

Outside of the bloggersphere, other things that have happened in the past year include me moving house, losing a cat, and doubling the number of tattoos I have (four new ones this year! Four! And all of them literary references… hmmm, I think I have a theme for my next post…)

And more importantly, after various mishaps, re-writes, playlists, paintings, mud pies and writing in the bath... I am about to start on my fourth (how near is this to being the final?) draft of this blasted book! Which I love really, and am very excited to finish.

So there you have it. What I did this year!

Popular-lar, la, la, la, la, la!

Weird things have happened to this blog. In the last two weeks (ie the two weeks I have posted nothing) I have had a 250% increase in visitors!

Only I didn’t post nothing did I – I posted my little ‘2000 hits’ thank you.

Turns out ‘2000’ is a very popular google search!  

So if you’ve come here by mistake, I hope you enjoyed your visit anyway!

PS Weirdly the same thing happened on twitter; I spent a week with no wi-fi, and gained 8 followers! Does that mean you all prefer it when I just shut up? Will try not to take this personally!
