Welcome to my blog!

I am a lefty. I write vertically, cannot use can-openers and was recently foiled by a right handed ladle (I will have my vengeance...) but more than this, I generally seem to approach life from a different angle. I appreciate that this may have nothing to do with being a lefty and may just be my own dysfunctionallity, but after earning the nickname 'Lefty-Flip' after a frustrating game of Guitar Hero, it seemed an appropriate title for this blog.

The shake-up continues!

Well doesn't time fly by when you're having fun! I can't remember a January I've not spent hiding under the duvet (or at least wishing I was).
House update - well the first house I went to see was a complete let down. It was tiny! Literally no room to swing a cat. Well, maybe Brian but certainly not Fatty Frances. Seriously, I could have opened the front door without leaving the sofa.
But...
I have since found somewhere far more suitable and in a fit of frivolity decided to take it! I move in less than two weeks!!!
So I am now frantically packing up my belongings (including over 100 Harry Potter books - yeah yeah, I know I'm crazy...) and attempting to shop for furniture, because I don't actually own any!

In between boxes I have managed to squeeze in some writing... not sure this is the right time for a major rewrite of an entire section but that's what's happening! Ah well, I'm having a clear out of old junk, that might as well include crappy writing!

All in all, still got that lovely New-year-anything-is-possible vibe going.

Good times.

Laura

PS In more cryptic news, I have updated my twitter bio in an attempt to flush out any VFD'ers out there. If you know what I mean, then I don't need to explain - if not, keep on walking, nothing to see here...

  1. Don't think I've ever heard someone use the "swing a cat" expression "literally". In fact, the incorrect use of literally is one of my big things at the moment as in "I was literally over the moon" and what I "literally" did when I was scared (messy). So nice to see here that we could say, quite correctly, you literally couldn't swing a cat.

Glad to hear the New Year vibe continues. I have the vibe but haven't managed any action so well done you. As for 100 Harry Potter books......

    1. I hadn't but I have now! I thought only blokes on the autistec spectrum collected things to this extent...

No wonder you need a place of your own. Come to think of it, the books could do with a place of their own!

      Hope the move went well.

  3. Good luck with the packing and the moving. I'm impressed you're managing to get any writing done.
